Bjørn Ottar has many years of experience from the operation of satellites, advanced space technology and rockets at the European Space Agency, Telenor Satellite and the Norwegian Space Centre. He has been responsible for the commercial exploitation of satellite data, and founded the Space & Energy network - with the aim of driving technology transfer between the space sector and the energy sector. He initiated the idea of an ESA incubation centre, and contributed, in close cooperation with ESA and Kjeller Innovation, to ESA BIC Norway being established in 2018. Bjørn Ottar is an experienced network builder and promoter of the hydrogen industry positioning itself for growth and new opportunities, nationally and internationally. He has a degree in aerospace engineering from Delft in the Netherlands.
