Vidar Sten-Halvorsen, CEO of Applied Hydrogen, is a civil engineer with over 31 years in the oil and gas industry, mainly with TechnipFMC, and holds 15 patents from his work on electrification and simplification of subsea well control systems. Since taking the helm at Applied Hydrogen in 2021, he has led the development of one of the world's first 30-ton hydrogen fuel cell excavators. In his presentation, Vidar will walk through the journey from start-up to pilot – demonstrating the excavator and the hydrogen logistics value chain behind it – and what it takes to turn an ambitious idea into an industrial product.
Kateryna Hunsbeth works in project development at Hy2gen Nordic, with a background in business administration, communication and sustainability. Since joining Hy2gen in 2023, she has worked on project financing and funding, communication and stakeholder engagement for renewable hydrogen and e-fuel projects across the Nordic region.
